The interactive audio lessons were designed to have you speaking Spanish fast. You right away be saying and responding to Spanish phrases. The audio lessons offer many chances for repetition and practice. The best part of the audio lessons are the fact they come on mp3 formats so you can put them on your ipod or mp3 player and play them anywhere. As I have found out, you can’t do this with all programs. There is also written content to supplement the interactive lessons that help you learn how the language is written and helpful hints along the way that help you understand what really matters when speaking Spanish in the real world. I suppose the best part of Rocket Spanish is how practical the content is. The focus is on teaching you how to communicate confidently with people in Spanish.
Lastly, I must mention the software that comes with the program. This software allows you to play games and build your vocabulary very quickly. Every learner will benefit from all the different types of learning components there are in this course. However, my only complaint would have to be that Rocket Spanish is not very fluid in organization or lay out of the material. The audio for example is broken into small chunks and if you want to find the written component to read along it is somewhat a pain. I suppose some people might see this program as being very flexible on how it is set up. You have the choice on how you wish to learn the material and how fast you want to learn it. I personally, like something that has a progression of sorts. With Rocket language Spanish you have many opportunities to learn Spanish at your own pace and I’m sure that for most people this makes sense.
If you’re looking for an affordable program to learn Spanish than I would urge you to take a look at Rocket Spanish. The downloadable version is identical to the cd’s and will save you a ton of money on shipping and packaging. The overall cost is less than other brands and in my opinion gives this course an edge on the competition.
